Merrie, Bryan, and Becky were laughing last night thinking it's really bad when you get excited about brain surgery... hee hee. But with all that Bryan has been through the last 2 weeks, brain surgery is the simple part.
Bryan was scrubbed this morning and Becky was able to finally wash his hair. He is ready for a few visitors this weekend.
After the surgey on Tuesday, believing everything will go smoothly, Bryan will be ready to go home on Friday or Saturday. He is really looking forward to seeing Annie (their dog), having a hot shower with water pressure, sleeping in his own bed without constant intrruptions and flash lights in eyes.
Becky and Bryan appreciate all the comments, concerns, cards, prayers, and well wishes.

Hi Bryan, Becky (Merrie and Joe),
So glad to hear things are going so well and as planned. You sure have alot of friends!!! I love checking in daily on your progress, and your sister is the best for getting us such accurate information... what would we have done without technology.
When I think of you Bryan, I think of your smiling face and positive attitude. That attitude and your faith will see you through!

Hi Bryan, Becky, Merrie and Joe...My name is Donna and I attend Merrie and Joe's bible study on Thursdays. I have been following your progress ever since Joe sent an email requesting prayers and linking us to this blog. I know that God is playing the lead role here because of all the positive feedback and miricles that have happened. I'll continue to pray for you and your family and I'd like to offer this prayer: For Quiet Confidence "O God of peace, who hast taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of they Spirit lift us, we pray thee, to thy presence, where we may be still and know that thou art God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen" Awaiting the good news you are home and comfortable.
Keep your sense of humor.....it is a good witness to others, especially the nurses & doctors, plus it is a great way of coping! I have learned that it can always get worse, so celebrate the small things...like yahoo I get two Percocets today...hehe. You can't understand unless you have been there I guess! Continually in our prayers, Nate & Lisa Warner

Hi Bryan,
Not sure if you remember me from church. I usually wasn't in service -- almost always in the baby nursery. My sister, Michelle, attended Faith as well until she married 4.5 years ago and moved to TX.
I had brain surgery in Boston in March of 2005 to have 3 aneurysms clipped (Brigham & Women's Hospital). God was obviously with me every step of the way, as he has been with you.
Before and after the surgery, via a particular website, I have met many brain aneurysm and AVM survivors. Sometimes I feel guilty as they survived surgery but are so much worse off than me. God brought me through with no deficits.
Aneurysms and AVMs are different but have a sort of connection.
My mother died of an aneurysm rupture in 1991. God was ready for her to come home. 14 years later, God chose a very strange way for me to find out I had aneurysms, because I never had symptoms or any problems or knew they could be genetic. Fortunately I had the surgery without any deficits, and it was just in time as the largest aneurysm was ready to rupture per the neurosurgeon.
I have to be tested again in 2009 as I'm told I have a significant chance of recurrence. However, I believe that God would not have done what he did bringing me through that surgery to have something happen down the road.
I am keeping you in my prayers. You're in good hands with God and with the gifted medical professionals he puts here on earth to take care of us. I understand you have a great neurosurgeon. Mine was world-renowned as well.
Anyway, hang in there. So many are praying for you.
Take care & God Bless,
Allison (Clark)

Hi beloved friends,
The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and they are saved (given 'new life').
we have been singing this new and awesome song at church. It is called "Your Name"......something along the lines of.....
Your name is a strong and mighty tower.
Your name is a shelter like no other.
Nothing can compare with Your Name!
the Name of Jesus!!! We can trust HIS name and all that it affords us. Tomorrow, as you get ready for anesthesia, may the name of Jesus be on your lips Bryan, and give you the assurance that all will be well when you wake up again. We continue to pray for all of you and looking forward to seeing you soon.
some of the nurses here at Baystate are asking for you and so I send them to the blog!!! and they can see for themselves the wonder working, faithful work of the Lord!
much love
