Outlook for Tuesday

Merrie wanted you all to know:

Monday night 7:30pm the neurology team came by to explain Bryan's surgey which is set for around 1pm, Tuesday (tomorrow). The top neurologist, Dr. Heilman-cheif of neurosurgery, will be performing the surgery, with Dr. Malek in attendance. Dr. Heilman is considered one of the best neurosurgeons in the world. ("Only the best for Bryan") Bryan, Becky, Joe, and Merrie felt very comfortable after he explained the procedure.

Surgery will take about 5 hours with the highest risk being the following 24 hours. With no complications during the recovery, Bryan should be able to go home this weekend. YAY!

Dr Heilman felt that his vision and imbalance should be 95% recovered within 2 months and 100% by next year at this time. His golf game should not be affected at all this summer, which made Bryan smile.

Please keep Bryan in your prayers, especially during the surgery- 1-7pm- and then the following 24 hours.

I will post an update on the blog when Bryan goes into surgery and then afterwards.

Bryan will be unable to eat after midnight tonight, but is planning a chocolate chip cookie snack just before midnight. :)


Bryan and family has been so blessed by all the prayers and cards and support... it has been overwhelming.

Well, Bryan, He does supply the best for you, because you are His kid. We all kow that the Great Physician will be right there guiding the hands of the surgeon. Know that everyone at Faith will be keeping you ALL lifted up in prayer Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday night. Thank God we have a BIG GOD who is interested in every aspect of our lives. We await the good news after surgery.

Hey Bryan,
Alyssa and I are definitely praying for you today. Actually, being updated on this whole thing really makes us miss you. It's my firm hope to school the students with you on the ultimate field at some upcoming Mayday or homecoming. May you be blessed with quick healing and the strong presence of God with you all day.

What a day ahead for you and the family...Be assured that the Bethlehem prayer warriors are standing/kneeling with you on this important day...I was greatly relieved to hear that you and your golf swing will be ready come summer, after all, it's so hard for me to find people that I can beat...

The PVCS prayer warriors (staff and students) are armed and fighting for you today. Becky, Merrie, Joe, and the rest of the family, you are in my prayers (and Kristin's) as well. Focus on the Lord - His greatness and His salvation - and the 5 hours won't seem so stressful. See you soon.

I've been receiving prayer requests for Bryan Kaye through the Bethlehem Baptist prayer chain and just found out that the Bryan I've been praying for is Merrie's son.
I've forwarded the need for prayer to my mother (Gene Kuczarski) on Winding Lane in Springfield, and to my sister (Melanie Kuczarski Nicholl.
May God continue to bless you, Bryan, as I've gratefully read that He has right along. I'm praying and will contunue to do so...
